VISUAL ARTS
A Light Unbroken
by Michelle Jacobs
ABOUT THE EXHIBIT
My work is deeply rooted in my Jewish Zionist identity and the rich traditions of Jewish culture. Growing up immersed in Judaism, I draw inspiration from both the ancient and modern experiences of the Jewish people, our history and our heritage. My studies in art history have shaped my approach to storytelling through visual art, allowing me to weave themes of memory, identity, and connection into each piece. I seek to create art that evokes reflection and emotion, encouraging conversation. Through my art, I connect with my own life experiences and intersectional identities—celebrating resilience, faith, love, and the ongoing journey and light of the Jewish people.

background in art history. Growing up surrounded by Judaism, Jewishness and Israel remains integral to her artistic and personal life. Through her work, she seeks to spread Jewish joy and foster learning, blending cultural heritage with contemporary expression. When not painting, she works as an occupational therapist, helping children with special needs reach their full potential.
